ABOUT
POSH was created to connect female filmmakers from around the world with a unique event that was not only focused on education but also on building a strong network of women. The POSH retreat and workshop is like no other out there in that it is exclusively for women and is a small group to allow everyone to learn, grow and share with each other.
Now known as the POSHettes, 42 women embarked on the experience of POSH 2010 on a cruise in the Bahamas. Inspiring presentations by Kristen* of Bliss Productions, Jessica Roman of Ray Roman Films, Tasra Dawson of Dare Dreamer Media, Brea McDonald of Brea McDonald Photography and Dawn Kelly of Soiree Floral set the tone of the 5 days at sea followed by an inspiration shoot on a private island along with many great conversations, laughter and fun with women from all over the world. During the retreat, we produced “We Create” which was premiered nationally on December 1, 2010. Directed by Maura Coleman and Kara Jensen, edited by Meg Simone, filmed by Maribeth Ratajczyk and Luiza Perkowska with collaboration from all 42 women.
About the founders:
Jennifer Moon is the co-owner of Northernlight Filmworks. Jennifer not only runs the day to day operations of the business, but also shoots and edits along side her husband John. Jennifer is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. Although not teaching anymore, Jennifer uses her skills to keep Northernlight Filmworks, organized and running smoothly. She and John are one of the EventDV Top 25 Most Influential Filmmakers in the World. She is also one of the InFocus Blog contributors.
Reagan Zugelter is the Marketing Manager for Studio Z Films and her husband, Steve is the primary filmmaker. Reagan graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in film production and spent 10 years in the media industry as a Marketing and Event Manager. Studio Z Films is an international award winning studio that was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Filmmakers in the World in 2010.
